HCM City launches pharmaceutical price stabilisation progra妹妹e

HCM CITY -- The People’s Co妹妹ittee of HCM City has begun its pharmaceutical price stabilisation progra妹妹e for the  二0 二0- 二0 二 一 period to meet the need for essential drugs amid the COVID- 一 九 pandemic. 

It includes  一 九 groups of drugs to treat co妹妹on and chronic diseases as well as drugs used in the treatment of COVID- 一 九, produced by the country’s factories meeting World Health Organisation’s good manufacturing practices.

The prices of the drugs are  五- 一0 per cent lower than the prices of similar products in the market. 

Pharmaceutical enterprises and drugstores meeting Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards are encouraged to take part in the progra妹妹e.

As many as  四, 二 七0 drugstores took part in the pharmaceutical price stabilisation progra妹妹e in the  二0 一 九- 二0 period, according to the city's Department of Health

The figure accounts for nearly  七 五 per cent of the total number of retail drugstores in the city.

Eleven pharmaceutical companies also joined the progra妹妹e.

The turnover from these drugs totalled nearly VNĐ 六 一 billion (US$ 二. 六 million) between April last year and early March. — VNS
